The Role: This leadership role will drive product management & data sciences to deliver differentiated analytics solutions which support all Mastercard's U.S. Open Banking use cases and client verticals. This leader will manage two existing high performance teams an analytics product management team and a data science team. Partnering closely with teams spanning the U.S. Open Banking organization, as well as the Mastercard North American Region, the objective will be to ideate, build and manage analytical solutions (e.g. predictive attributes and scores) to improve our clients' decision-making and performance in Payments, Lending and Small Business. The analytics products themselves are cutting edge - fueled by Mastercard's consumer-permissioned open banking data - and are key to driving differentiation to our services and ultimately a positive impact for our clients' consumer and small business customers while meeting regulatory compliance, contractual agreements and best practices. This role will report to the Head of US Open Banking and will represent the Analytics team in setting overall strategy and priorities for the business and will have high visibility and impact across the decisioning community within Mastercard as a whole.Responsibilities- Actively contribute on leadership team in setting overall business strategy and operating plans - and drive specific initiatives across our Analytics Products in support of the strategy- Guide Analytics Product Management team on defining product specification aligned to market requirements and client needs- Guide Data Science team on defining clear outcomes for models to solve the target problems effectively; ensure ongoing model integrity measurement/governance is in place- Drive alignment with go-to-market product and sales teams, ensuring high impact sales tools and client engagement playbooks (e.g. performance pilots/studies) are formalized and embraced- Collaborate effectively with the Technology and Operations teams to align on product development roadmaps and run-time performance requirements/monitoring for analytical services- Evangelize the power and trajectory of Open Banking Analytics both across the organization and with clients to maximize client adoption/impact and business valueAll About You:- Degree in a technical field (Graduate degree is a plus) - e.g. engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, information technology, statistics- Applied experience and concrete results in solving business problems with data/analytics in one or multiple use cases we are addressing in Open Banking (i.e. consumer/SMB payments, account opening, lending)- Track-record for effectively building and developing talent on larger analytics/data services teams and rapidly scaling new products in the marketplace- Proven ability to engage with technical data science & data engineering teams and guide their approaches and decisions to support both immediate and longer-term business needs- Excellent verbal/written communications and relationship building skills - the ability to simplify, collaborate, inspire, problem solve and innovate across teams is a must- Working knowledge of established and emerging data science, data warehouse, data/model governance, and product management methodologies and toolsLocation - New York or SLC preferred, open to remoteCOVID-19 Considerations We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we're all in this together.
