Partner Analyst of NY Gas, act to:
--- - - -Support, challenge and drive the strategic/financial
decisions at the operational yard levels
--- - - -Ensure decision makers have all relevant and available
information in a timely manner before decisions are made
--- - - -Assist Lead Finance Business Partner in developing
strategies with business stakeholders to meet future business and
energy needs while operating within the economic and regulatory
environment. -
-Key Accountabilities--- - - -Actively manage performance at the
operational yard level -
--- - - -Cross functional collaboration with Resource Planning and
the Business to ensure workplan affordability and alignment with
financial budget/forecasts. -
--- - - -Support the presentation and/or present the monthly
results in a style suitable for both a finance and non-finance
audience, delivering insight and highlighting priority areas for
focus, ensuring efficiencies are optimized for the longer term.

--- - - -Work with stakeholders to develop action plans to address
issues and ensure corrective actions are delivered on a timely
basis. -
--- - - -Maintain active two-way communications with the NY
FP&A group.
--- - - -Ensure appropriate employee accounting assignments -
--- - - -Support the delivery of the relevant business area's
financial response to rate case outcomes and maximize future
allowances for ongoing investment in infrastructure and services. -
Deliver the best possible outcome so as to outperform targets.
--- - - -Support the implementation of continuous improvement and
performance excellence activities, consistently achieving strong
results.
--- - - -Help shape the definition of value, key drivers which
create value and the KPIs which measure value; and ensure these are
used to inform performance management, decision making and planning
for the future. - -Qualifications--- - - -Bachelor's Degree
required, with 2- 4 years of progressive growth in business support
roles
--- - - -Broad range of financial, management and business
modelling experience
--- - - -Experience in utility service business activities and
systems preferred
--- - - -Excellent written / oral communications skills and
follow-up
--- - - -Proven ability to adapt style of financial information
presentation to suit a range of stakeholders, both financial and
non-financial. Able to understand both GAAP and IFRS reporting
concepts and assist in applying appropriate views to ensure the
optimal outcome for the Business Unit / Function's reported profits
and financial position
--- - - -Planning, forecasting and budgeting skills.
--- - - -Under direction is able to manage stakeholder and
community relationships effectively through actively listening and
responding to stakeholder requirements. -
--- - - -Knows, and can explain to others, how National Grid
operates and how their role delivers value for the business. -Will
seek commercial guidance and input from others when working on
complex matters. -
--- - - -Good strategic outlook. Uses business and industry
knowledge and financial analysis to join the dots between long term
strategy and financial performance, whilst dealing with ambiguity.
