This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Hawthorne, New York area and will be a permanent position. In this position, the Bookkeeper will maintain accounts payable, reconciliation, month-end closing, and accounts receivable. Furthermore, the Bookkeeper is responsible for a full cycle A/P, data entry, cash applications, coding, light journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation. Your responsibilities
+ Work with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
+ Process incoming payments by check, credit card, and EFT.
+ Receive, process, and reconcile statements.
+ Prepare and make bank deposits.
+ Process incoming vendor invoices and prepare payments.
+ Resolve any issues with incoming invoices and payments.
+ Assist with preparation for annual audits.
+ Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
+ Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices. Perform administrative and other tasks as needed.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Understanding of accounting principles
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Deadline-driven with excellent time management ability
