Section I: Scope
The AFROTC Program Coordinator supports AFROTC Detachment 560: 5 Cadre staff and -150 cadets from 33 cross-town programs within the Department of Air and Space Studies. Detachment 560 is the sole AFROTC program for the entire NYC-area. The Coordinator, under the Supervision of the Commander/Department Chair, manages and facilitates day to day operations of AFROTC programs to include: front-line admissions support, on-boarding, Department operating financials, scholarships, student support, student data management, marketing and communications. The Coordinator also supports official correspondence, scheduling, visits and events for the Detachment. Due to the nature of information and access, the AFROTC Program Coordinator is considered a position of trust. This is a Full - Time position.

Section II: Responsibilities
Reports to: Commander AFROTC, Detachment 560/Department Chair
Supervises: Student Workers/employees (1-2 students)
Responsibilities:
1. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Represents Manhattan College(MC) and AFROTC to perspective students in person, video and via phone; communicates MC and AFROTC program requirements with students, prospective students and family members. Assists with developing and executing program requirements for student enrollment and disenrollment from classes within MC and the consortium community. Manages leads/prospects and maintains routine immersion/open house program for prospective students. (30%)

2. STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS: On behalf of the Commander, maintains/supports relationships with consortium programs to facilitate shared student support. Communicates frequently with affiliated colleges and universities to supply or request information; maintains related contact lists of addresses/phone numbers for all cross-town programs and contacts within the NY metro area; fully knowledgeable to MC/ROTC requirements to effectively communicate; maintain awareness, familiarity with administrative organizations of affiliated colleges and universities (20%)

3. PROGRAM SUPPORT: Supports Department Program through student data management. Fully understands computer/internet/software systems to execute the MC/AFROTC mission; is capable of using excel and online spreadsheets to interface with USAF and MC database systems. Systems relate to, but are not limited to: student lead management, student onboarding management, student military records, uniform distribution program, financial details and scholarship program records; (20%)

4. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for managing Department funds for supplies, equipment and reimbursements; maintains knowledge of financial accounting practices and all Department funding as well as MC and ROTC financial reporting procedures. Coordinator oversees Student Worker budget and work performance within the department. (15%)

5. MISCELLANEOUS: Performs a variety of program manager duties which include: managing program tasks (internally and externally driven), developing department reports, share team responsibilities, word processing/correspondence, memoranda, statistics; proofreading materials, managing department mail, managing department supplies, managing department scheduling; greeting, orienting new faculty and students and duties as assigned by the Commander/Department Chair (15%)

Bachelors Degree required
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for 4-6 hours and engage in minimal physical activity to support student programs and events.
