Safety Board Office Head, working on the GPSE team, you will be
empowered to drives the operational excellence of the Takeda Safety
Board (TSB) at Takeda with support of logistics, project management
of TSB activities, and tracking of its performance. A typical day
will include:POSITION OBJECTIVES:
- Partners with Chair, TSB to develop the strategic direction of
the TSB and enables its operational excellence
- Provides project management leadership to facilitate processes
and activities for the TSB including for escalation and
company-wide interfaces
- Ensures awareness and training of Takeda Safety Board
processes
- Ensures the continuous process improvement of Takeda Safety
Board by incorporating learnings into ways of working and
performance measurement
- Develop, implement and maintain TSB company-wide
communicationPOSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Partners with Global Project Leaders and Global Safety leads,
GPSE Therapeutic Areas Heads and other senior leaders to collect
and analyze information to support the decision-making process to
trigger a TSB interaction (e.g. ad hoc Meeting, Milestones Review
or Forum)
- Collaborates with the Chair, TSB and PRC office to initiate TSB
interactions, Collect necessary information to enable to Chair, TSB
to triage TSB interactions from multiple sources in alignment with
established governances and processes (e.g. Other Important Safety
Information, Safety Management Team, GLOC, QAM, PCMC) and follow
through on meeting Action items implementation and tracking in
close collaboration with GPTs
- Leads maintenance of the TSB processes (e.g. Charter), and
ensures that targeted training across all levels at Takeda are
conducted to ensure understanding of TSB readiness and operating
model
- Leads TSB communication plan at enterprise level
- Oversees the support of logistics and project management of
Safety Board activities; Facilitate processes and activities for
the Takeda Safety Board/Safety Board Forum to ensure the adequate
delivery of information such as pre-read materials, generation of
meeting minutes, and closeout of all action items in partnership
with Global Project Teams.
- Ensures project management support of the TSB and continuously
improve TSB processes and structure leveraging technologies to
expedite escalation, decision making and communication related to
TSB activities.
- Provides access to tools and resources, maintaining TSB
materials in a centralized location
- Analyze and report TSB performance based on strategic and
business goals, work with Chair, TSB to determines Key Performance
Indicators and measurement of TSB performance and provides
recommendations for areas improvement.
- Enables project management support across relevant GPSE,
Centers of ExcellenceEDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree Science or business-related field
- Advanced degree in science or business is desired
- Direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related
field required
- Previous experience influencing senior-level management and key
stakeholders is a plus
- Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding
of the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated ability to work across functions, regions, and
cultures
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, motivate
and drive results
- Demonstrated strong project management capabilities
- Excellent communicator, able to persuasively convey both ideas
and data, verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates leadership presence and confidence across all
levels of the organization, including Executive level leadersAbsent

Salary Range: $ 160,300 to $229,000 Range Mid, based on candidate
professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for
