The Associate Server Admin represents a technical position in the Digital Services department supporting Altice USA's iO and OOL/OV integrated services. This position will be called upon to represent the Digital Service department by internal and external organizations. An individual in this position is responsible for making the production environment network more reliable by performing day-to-day system operations including system monitoring, troubleshooting, problem identification, resolution and restoration following established and documented procedures. They are expected to manage all technical server issues within the complex including those that are system wide as well as individual customer problems. They must be able to work independently on tasks of moderate complexity and assist DS and the other NWM groups with tasks of high complexity. Also, they are expected to use their technical knowledge and ability to work with others to solve technical issues in a timely fashion. They may be asked to assist in some project work in addition to their operational responsibilities. They are also responsible for customer care, troubleshooting and problem resolution for residential and business customers. This position is critical to the Interactive digital products offered by Altice USA because it provides high visibility and high level technical support within the Digital Services Dept. The Associate Server Admin position provides a moderate to high level of technical experience that allows timely resolutions to problems. This position focuses on maintaining the overall health of the network by following and executing established operational monitoring, troubleshooting and restoral procedures.ResponsibilitiesProvides third-level support for internal departments and organizations.Operation, administration and maintenance of all production systems including installation of server hardware and software.Monitors and performs performance tuning of the residential, commercial, and educational production environments.Responds to and resolves customer problems and tasks in a timely and efficient manner via phone, email and corporate trouble ticketing systems.Understands and executes department operational proceduresEscalation of difficult or complex problems to ensure timely recovery.Maintains responsibility for the daily operational reports (Turnover, Consolidated, various iO and UTT reports) as well as any other reporting requirement as requested by management.Participates in special projects, maintenance activity and performs other duties as directed by managementCreates and maintains system documentation of all production systems as required.In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, this position is also responsible for:Performing any and all administrative tasks through use of appropriate company documentation, ensuring documentation is completed in a full and accurate manner.Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Altice USA policies and procedures.Ensuring that all work related equipment is utilized and maintained in a safe and responsible manner, and that all work related tasks are performed in a manner that is in compliance with OSHA safety rules and regulations.
