Job TitleDirector, Global Digital MediaThe Director Global Media is responsible for driving efficient and effective media investment, innovation, thought leadership and brand safety. Working with global, regional and local marketing and communications teams, as well as agency partners in order to drive engagement and preference among Mastercard's core constituents - both B2C and B2B.This role is ideal for an organized, inspirational, influential and solution-focused leader with deep subject matter expertise in the media business, including strategy, planning, media thought leadership, and driving media innovation globally. The candidate should be a balance of strategy, partnership development, practical execution, and an innovator and thought leader. This role works with an exciting, iconic brand gearing up to execute groundbreaking work in 2022 and beyond. The Leader will manage the Global media strategy, disseminate best practices along with KPIs and benchmarks, drive bleeding edge media thought leadership, and create media partner opportunities against priority business/marketing strategies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness for regions. In addition, leader will drive an innovation agenda that ensures a cutting-edge media practice, test and learn culture with an eye towards scaling current and future media opportunities. Strong planning acumen to translate into actionable deliverables to impact annual planning cycles via audience insights consumer and B2B journeys, communications frameworks and measurement plans. Develop overarching targeting approaches for local market adoption. Partner with SVP to define and implement a plan to evolve media best practice to keep pace with industry change and create a sustainable strategic advantage for Mastercard. * Use qualitative and quantitative communications channel research to define appropriate channel mix to that delivers impact beyond Reach & Frequency, but rather driving attention, engagement and brand love that also materially impacts the business. * Identify, understand and adapt new techniques and emerging technologies as relevant to media strategies and execution * Connect new technology adoption and behaviors in consumer and B2B audiences to actionable leverage and strategies for stronger media strategies and plans. Lean into experiential marketing strategy driving forward opportunities to advance passions strategy for consumers in growing opportunities (e.g. Web3, Metaverse, NFTs, AI, Blockchain, gaming, etc.) * Advance and extend B2B brand via efficient and measurable ways to move B2B audiences through funnel from awareness and perception of businesses for payments, services and new networks, through to consideration and advocacy. (Reputation; Relevance & Revenue)* Identify opportunities to both drive and measure earned media engagement to boost reach and effectiveness of marketing in an environment of ad blockers and reduced interest in advertising - moving beyond traditional reach and measurements * Drive innovation agenda and process, creating ongoing opportunities to inspire new thinking and implementing test/learn plans to scale new media/technology advances* Leading and managing Joint Business Plans with industry leading Media partners to create new business opportunities, strengthen marketing programs, enhance product benefits, add value to issuers/merchants and drive new revenue (e.g. Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Google, Disney, etc). * Bring forth new processes and opportunities to impact regional/local plans * Manage flow of media-related issues based upon changes in direction, goals and budgets. Requires solutions orientation and flexibility to resolve issues and deliver on opportunities. * Deliver ongoing market level analyses and reporting to ensure key guidelines adhered to Qualifications* Bachelor's degree* Proven partnership execution and delivery * Media Thought Leader and proven innovator* Demonstrated strategy developed in media planning, buying and operates on cutting edge of what's next in media * Strong influential and partnership skills * Proven ability and understanding of media practice/best in class tools across the supply chain * Experience leading large scale, integrated activations and campaigns that cut across pan-regional/global/local markets * Ability to craft messages and articulate strategy to drive alignment and inspiration to team and markets * Strong managerial skills - ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams and staff * Strong presentation skills * Must be proactive and flexible, a team player able to work in a fluid environment with changing prioritiesCOVID-19 Considerations We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we're all in this together.
