Location: Creative Learning Center, 17 Anderson St, New Rochelle, NY 10801Hours: 35 hours/ 8:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday based on 40 week school calendarSalary: $41,740.00Position Summary: Create a dynamic and supportive early childhood classroom community with particular focus on building children's social and emotional regulation skills. Work collaboratively with Special Education Teacher and TA to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and adapt to meet the needs of children in the integrated Co-Teach class. Responsible for monitoring all general education students' development through Teaching Strategies.Responsibilities:--- Demonstrate care, support, and compassion for young children and families.--- Work collaboratively with TA teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and adapt to meet the needs of children--- Submit lesson plans to Education Coordinator weekly--- Responsible for updating Teaching Strategies assessments--- Utilize Second Step and NYS Pyramid Model Social Emotional Curriculum.--- Adhere to all requirements of Head Start, including documentation, classroom set up, and lesson planning--- Communicate with related service providers and families frequently.--- Participate in team and annual review meetings.--- Supervise Teaching Assistant.--- Mandated reporter.--- Continue professional development including 30 hrs training for OCFS--- Support a high-performing culture aligned with TGCW core values and B.A.S.I.C Tenets: Balance, Accountability, Satisfaction, Inclusion, and Communication.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field required. Master's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.Travel Requirements: nonePhysical Requirements: This job requires working with young children in a school setting.
