Job Description:

The Beechwood Organization, one of the largest developers of single family and multifamily housing in New York State, and Long Island's largest homebuilder and developer of sophisticated lifestyle communities, is seeking an Engineer/Land Planner for immediate hire.

Responsibilities

Prepare and certify plans

• Create/review site design drawings, home layout, utilities, and construction plans
• Direct planning to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction
• Recommend improvement to all construction activities and ensure compliance to specifications and construction schedule
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implantations of initiative
• Collect field data for preparations of plans as needed
  Knowledge And Skills Required
  
  • Surveyor license
  • Project development and leadership skills essential
  • Practical experience in land surveying, civil engineering, site planning and land use application (Previous experience working in a Land Development division a +)
  • Must have previous new residential construction experience
  • 5 years' experience in an engineering assistant or equivalent capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in surveying technology and/or civil engineering a +
  • EIT certification a +
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent problem solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team with various levels and types of management, staff, co-workers, and clients
  • Microstation/AutoCAD/Civil3D or equivalent software
    Local candidate preferred that is familiar with Long Island, NY. Please note that we do not offer any relocation assistance.
