Job Description:
A well-established IT Services Firm, with close to 900 clients
nationwide, is seeking an experienced Field IT Support Engineer to
service their Bronx, NY area clients. This is a fantastic company
that grew to nearly 900 clients by word of mouth only. Employees
love working for this company and have voted their preference with
their longevity and very low employee turnover. The company
provides excellent pay and benefits (insurance, vacation, 401K,
etc.).
We need a tech savvy IT professional who is able to deal with
diverse technical environments via systems engineering,
administration and troubleshooting. If you are the person that
other people seek out for technical advice, then this is the
position for you. We are seeking a Level 2 support engineer that is
very comfortable dealing with Level 2 and minimal level 3 issues.
Experience working for a Managed Service Provider is a plus.
Seeking a highly motivated individual that is self-directed,
energetic and driven to meet the needs of the customer. You should
be someone that enjoys customer service and making the client
happy. Responsibilities include the support, administration, and
maintenance of desktops, laptops, servers and some light
networking. You will work with the latest technologies performing
configurations, support of operating systems and applications;
participate in remote and on-site systems administration; and
production support activities.
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENTS:
Competency in supporting, diagnosing, troubleshooting computer
systems, software and networking issues on PCs and related
equipment
Windows Desktop Operating Systems
Windows Servers
Enterprise Antivirus Software (Symantec, McAfee)
Active Directory and Group Policy
MS Exchange
VMWare
Printer Administration
MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience a huge plus
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent people skills (you need to really have excellent people
skills as you will be representing the company)
Ability to concisely describe or summarize a problem and steps
taken to diagnose and resolve it, in writing
Ability to deal with a diverse population
Willingness and ability to learn new skills and technical
information
Responsibility and reliability
Ability to prioritize and perform triage
Discretion and good sense in dealing with clients
Determination to see a problem through to its resolution
