Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Architectural & Engineering, the
Structural Engineer II will be responsible for performing
structural analyses and designs for telecommunications sites. They
will also be required to review engineering drawings and designs to
ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
Regional travel to conduct site visits to gather structural
information (including but not limited to: measuring and providing
field sketches) will be required from time to time. Candidate
should have experience working in the NYC DOB system and with
FDNY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop antenna upgrade construction drawings.
Perform structural analyses of antenna supporting structures.
Prepare and review mapping reports.
Review drawings for structural consistency and completeness.
Understand municipal permitting and zoning requirements including
NYC DOB & FDNY.
Attend site walks to obtain necessary structural information.
Conduct Special Inspections required by NYC DOB.
Competencies
Keep Track of Time on Projects/Training/Meetings/Etc.
Work with Structural Department Program Manager on training and
development
Complete company required training /policy reviews in a timely
manner
Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and
stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close
vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Professional Engineer Certificate required.
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI) required.
ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Certification required.
2-5 Years of structural work experience.
Experience using AutoCAD for structural detailing.
Experience with structural analysis modeling software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Travel
Travel to local sites for job experience may be required. Travel is
primarily local during the business day, although some projects may
require overnight travel.

Other Duties
The pay range for this position is $85k-110k+; however, base pay
offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and
experience (in addition to medical, dental, 401k and/or other
benefits, dependent on the position offered).
