Connector, LLC is entering a new and exciting phase of growth and

to enhance and grow the company through restructuring,
reorganization, modernization, optimization, and business

connection. Power Connector's Design Engineer is critical in
contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power
Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and
strengthening our design capabilities to enable the growth and
development of the business by driving innovation and improvements
via New Product Introduction and connector design iterations and
enhancements. This position's primary focus is to contribute and
execute on the team's strategic plans for design innovation and
product line sustainability and expansion. Power Connector's Design
Engineer is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with
exceptional technical and analytical skills. This position plays a
key role in sustaining and enhancing our current capabilities and
output through strategic planning and engineering to increase
efficiency and productivity in all design engineering disciplines.
This position enjoys the inherent challenges of sustaining and
growing a business by optimizing engineering processes and
introducing new approaches to design in a diverse and dynamic
organization. This position has a strong influence on the
fundamental principles guiding design structure and functionality
and works closely with the General Manager to realize the company's
true designing potential. Responsibilities • Assist with research
and development, new product introduction, and production
deployment. • Create CAD models, drawings, specification sheets,
and prototypes for new and existing products. • Modify existing
products to improve efficiency and performance. • Design for
manufacturability. • Research materials and production costs to
determine manufacturing requirements. • Ensure product designs
conform to customer and government specifications. • Test designs
to ensure they meet safety, usability, and environmental impact
standards. • Analyze data from tests and identify opportunities for
improvement. • Collaborate with engineering, sales, procurement,
and production teams. • Present designs and prototypes to customers
and colleagues. • Create BOMs and routings for new products, legacy
products, and engineering changes as necessary. • Develop and
manage costing analysis as necessary during product development and
deployment. • Create part numbers, assign classification, build
product structure and Bill of Materials, generate routings, assign
standard labor times, etc. for all levels of components and
assemblies in current MRP system. • Manage and participate in
product design reviews to provide input on design and manufacturing
requirements, functional requirements, capacity, potential failure
modes, etc. • Manage projects, including budgets, schedules, and
costs when applicable. • Perform DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Risk
Assessments. • Ensure that the company's designs and designing
processes comply with all government laws and regulations. • Review
and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along
with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to
assist management in decision-making. • Collaborate with quality
team to assure products are being produced to applicable
specifications. • Evaluate quality control processes and make
recommendations for improvements in quality control. • Devise
procedures to inspect and report quality issues. • Assure the
reliability and consistency of product manufacturing by checking
processes and final output. • Facilitate proactive solutions by
collecting and analyzing manufacturing data. • Document and
optimize design procedures to ensure replicability and compliance
with internal and external standards. • Contribute to internally
driven and customer-driven Root Cause Corrective Actions and
failure analysis. • Assist in the preparation for quality audits. •
Any additional tasks necessary to execute on the team's strategy
for design sustainability, improvement, and optimization. Minimum
Qualifications Education and Experience • Bachelor of Science in
engineering or related field • 3-10 years of design engineering or
relevant experience • 2-5 years of electrical connector design
experience Knowledge • Ability to create 3D Computer-aided design
(CAD) models and drawings • Ability to read drawings,
specifications, test procedures, etc. • Fundamental mathematical
and physical principles • Proficient in MS Office • Geometric
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Skills • Good oral and
written communication and presentation skills • Great interpersonal
skills • Excellent organizational skills • Results-oriented with
strong analytical skills • Ability to work well independently and
part of a team • Ability to motivate team members in a creative and
effective manner • Ability to work effectively under stressful and
dynamic environments Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad-hoc
projects as required. Compensation range: $90,000 - $125,000
