The ITBS Manager is a major contributor in managing project deliverables that include: requirements specification deliverables, writing (or direct other BA's in developing) business and functional requirements, taking an active role in managing the business relationship. In addition, the manager will take a leadership role in coordinating and communicating the project efforts for both the business and technical teams. This person has a solid understanding of the operations of the business and IT in order to effectively drive project deliverables.The ITBS Manager will work closely with the Corporate and Commercial groups to stimulate, surface, and help shape demand for IT solutions and assets. The ITBS Manager will also ensure delivery of information technology solutions that generate business value and confirm that the results are measured and communicated. ResponsibilitiesUnderstand both the business and IT in order to assist with driving innovation and shaping demand for technology that increases business value. Coordinate IT resources and work with cross-functional teams to ensure those opportunities deliver the business value that was expected from them.Work closely with architects, change teams, program and project managers, business analysts, infrastructure teams and others to communicate project requirements and objectives. Take an active role with the goal to evolve culture, build strategic partnerships and drive business value through the use of information and technology.Ensure our SDLC process is followed.Be very analytical with problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues.Develop deep knowledge of Corporate and Commercial and build both horizontal and vertical relationships with business and IT members that deliver business impact.Coach business partners and enable them to articulate the technology needs and requirements in their function that will advance business performance.Act as trusted technology advisor to Corporate and Commercial and a champion for identifying, leading and driving information technology transformation.Ensure that Corporate and Commercial's strategy and key performance indicators are identified and leveraged for effective IT demand shaping.Partner with Corporate and Commercial team members on pre-project ideation.Partner with enterprise architects to develop technology enablement business capability roadmaps.Partner with members of the business and the IT Business Services Director to evaluate proposals, build business cases, and plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities.Work closely with business analysts or perform business analysis to ensure that essential business requirements are understood, captured, and reflected in solution documentation.Partner with business transformation or change management teams to ensure that IT has the capacity and capabilities to implement changes required by new technology solutions.Ensure that project/program managers and IT staff assigned to projects are knowledgeable about the Corporate and Commercial business partner(s), and their objectives.Ensure delivery of new technology solutions and capabilities in accordance with the roadmap and ensure that they meet established objectives and expectations of business partners.Share ownership of the business value results of technology related projects; measure and communicate business value results on a regular basis.Bring outside-in or fresh perspectives into the organization by routinely meeting with end customers/consumers, industry peers, and other external sources.Ensure continuous improvement in value optimization, IT performance, and business processes where applicable.Proactively identify business capability and IT service gaps and contribute to improvement efforts.Advocate for and advance business partners' knowledge of IT processes, frameworks, roles, and capabilities.Develop value-adding ITBS professional maturity, individually and for the entire function.Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, work with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate product functionalities with business.Partner with development and analytic teams to brainstorm solutions and provide reporting on software solutions.Create (and/or oversee other resources, both internal and external) the written detailed Business Requirement Document (BRD) and process flows, including the translation into functional specifications.Provides analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretationSupports assigned departments in their initiatives while toggling between IT's process centric environment in conjunction with also operating in a nimble, responsive fashion.Perform product research and vendor management.Oversee other resources to ensure proper execution of projects and in support of their daily tasks.Provide support to QA team to aid in building test scripts.Participate in or manages Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Functionality Testing.Responsible for creating prototypes and facilitating review sessions with stakeholders.Responsible for managing the various day-to-day Corporate and Commercial IT issues. This includes identifying the issue, working with the various IT groups to resolve, and confirming resolution of the issue with the business user.Augment BSM role when required.
