Under the leadership of the Medical Director, the Director,
Quality Management (DQM) is accountable for the development,
management and coordination of the Hospital-Wide Performance
Improvement and Safety Program for the hospital. It is an exciting
time to be at the nation's only hospital dedicated to palliative

Ensures appropriate assessment, implementation and evaluation of
education and training activities within the agency.
Maintains a program of self-directed education that will ensure
he/she remains current with regulatory changes.
Collaborates with Administrator/Director of Patient Services and
Vice President- Community Patient Services to identify need for
program growth and development in response to regulatory
Collaborates with DPS/VP Community Patient Services/ Calvary
Hospital Infection Control Program for IC Activities.
Directs the Quality Assessment and Improvement activities of Home
Care and Hospice. Ensures identification and prioritization of
monitors, implementation of tools appropriate for valid measurement
and analysis of evaluation of findings.
Serves as a resource for implementation, interpretation and
understanding of new/modified policies, practices and
New York State RN License preferred.
Bachelor Degree preferred.
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
Ten years experience in Nursing with at least 5 years in community
nursing and 7 years of progressive management experience with

and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job
duties and functions.
