Job TitleVice President, Strategy, Mastercard Transaction ServicesMTS Overview:Mastercard Transaction Services [MTS] is the division responsible for the management of the legal entities under which all of Mastercard's current licensed money transfer services (and in the future other regulated activities) will be conducted. The MTS division (and associated MTS shared services functions) are housed under the umbrella of Mastercard Transaction Services and are comprised of the components which are necessary to support the activities of a licensed payment services firm. These components include:* The maintenance of payment institution/money transmitter licenses (and in future state, other applicable payment services licences) for operating payments business in defined jurisdictions.* Currently supporting cross border account to account payments globally, designing for crypto (stablecoins) and exploring Open Banking and other products.* Associated settlement accounts and other treasury services for the relevant MTS entity* Compliance services including but not limited to real-time sanctions screening / AML / Fraud * Regulatory reporting to the relevant regulators on behalf of the regulated business and its subsequent activities.Role SummaryReporting to and working closely with the MTS and Mastercard leadership teams, the candidate will be responsible for the development of MTS's business strategy - setting its vision and the strategic initiatives to realise it. The role will help shape how MTS drives Mastercard's muilti-rail strategy, particularly with regulated products. They will develop strategic plans, as well as identify organization strengths and weaknesses and business opportunities. This includes formulating, implementing and evaluating business plans both for MTS as an organisation and in support for our internal customers, including cross border services and new products.Responsibilities * Develops, defines, and communicates the MTS business strategy - focussing on expansion, scale, and efficiencies* Provides direction to management team to identify, structure and prioritize key opportunities and challenges, defines problem statements and develops overall solutions* Partners with business leaders (including cross border services) to design, evaluate and advance their strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy* Observes market trends and evolutions, monitors the organization's performance against targets and evaluates potential issues in order to implement action plans* Drives growth agenda and profitability plans through socialization of issues and potential solutions * Develop business documentation in line with strategy discussions and will be responsible for driving e.g., board packs, quarterly business review documentation, etc* Defines the MTS communications strategy and develops materials to engage internal and external stakeholders, particularly Mastercard product lines that might utilize MTS * Define MTS pricing frameworks, including subscription fee models, per transaction fees, and value-added services fees* Partner with Finance teams to understand and quantify costs associated with providing full suite of MTS Services, by Service Category * Establish appropriate price points using MTS costs as inputs and secure necessary approvals from pricing committees, finance, and other key governance bodies * Manages a team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes, coaches and develops employees as an organizational resourceAll About You* Track record formulating, implementing, and enhancing corporate strategic initiatives and business plans* Extensive experience in payments / banking / fintech* Success evaluating complex strategic initiatives, facilitating, influencing, and contributing to design and advancement* Success drawing insights from a broad range of industries and/or markets and reflecting them in solutions and strategies* Extensive experience delivering presentations and engaging with senior leadership* Demonstrates individual and team ethics with an ability to structure coherent rationale for fact-based decisions* Operational: business build experience - evolve early-stage capabilities and attitudes into a robust, high performance operating culture that maintains a market-led, high-growth outlook and capacity* Continually looks at the market and competition to see what is current and on the horizon * Success in leading complex cross-functional projects, teams or committees* Experience motivating team members and coaching them through career milestones and progressionCOVID-19 Considerations We value the safety of each member of our community because we know we're all in this together.
