Job Title: senior Director of Youth Services Reports To: AVP of Youth and Workforce programs Department: School-Based Programs position: Full Time Salary : Up to $65,000 DOEThe SoBRO Center for Education and Career Development (ECD) offers successful, exciting, cutting-edge programs for youth and adults. The Center's mission is to engage youth, adults, and family groups in career exploration, leadership development, educational and employment opportunities to achieve economic independence. SoBRO is seeking skilled and dedicated individuals with strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the Bronx by providing innovative and outcomes-based activities. The Senior Director of Youth Programmatic Services has overall responsibility for the operation and success of multiple comprehensive after-school programs. The SD YPS will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, contract compliance, curriculum development, training, and overall operations of in school, afterschool, and summer day camp programs.The Senior Director of Youth Programmatic Services will serve as a member of ECD's Senior Management Team. The SD YPS supervise up to six Program Directors an up 30 part time employees, interns, and volunteers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure all programs within ECD's youth division are in compliance with programmatic goals which include but are not limit to: Rate of Participation, Enrollment, Retention, Academic enrichment hours, Physical recreational hours, Social and Emotional Learning, holiday programing, Leadership development, S.T.E.M. etc. Supervise and coach Program Directors to ensure they have the required resources and tools to operate quality programming Provide professional development for programs within portfolio ensure staff are equipped with the programmatic knowledge to effectively facilitate activities Provide support for all Site Directors to complete and submit all required reports in a timely manner Work with the Educational Specialist to identify and design curricula that supports youth development via civic engagement, social emotional learning, literacy and STEM geared activities Built and sustain healthy working relationships with all stakeholders: School Administration/school liaison, parents, students and community members Monitor funders database to ensure all programs are in compliance and meeting contractual requirements Design and implement internal monthly program reportscapture quantitative and qualitative program data Work with AVP, to develop a standard template newsletter to capture the successes of all Youth development programs Supervise and monitor the Resource Navigator programassign calls, attend weekly meetings, provide weekly updates to Resource Navigators Train and support new hired Resource Navigator as needed Work with the other Senior Directors to ensure overall deliverance of quality program services Work with AVP and Senior Management staff to design a comprehensive youth development program for participants ages five through eighteen In partnership with AVP, develop the programmatic structure of in-school, afterschool and summer day camps based on the needs of interests of the participants and their families Develop thematic curricula for programs that encompass social and emotional development strategies to be used by program staff and facilitators Conduct performance evaluations and develop professional development plans staff within portfolios Conduct periodic program evaluationso Ensure programs are meeting and exceed contractual obligations Ensure staff have necessary programmatic tools and resources to fulfill expectations Meet with parents, community boards, tenant associations, and school administration to assess the program performance and offerings Monitor compliance management database (DYCD, DOE, etc.) Ensure that all attendance and program reports are submitted promptly Consult and collaborate with school personnel to plan for and establish appropriate interventions In partnership with senior management team, monitor programs and students' progress Performs other responsibilities as may be assigned by AVP Community Relations: Assist with the development of community resources/service providers Foster relationships with local schools, universities, business and community programs to enhance youth programs Attend community meetings and networking events Budget and contract management In partnership with the AVP develop, manage, and monitor all departmental budgets following funding agency guidelines Manage and oversee the submission of all reports to funders, to ensure timely payments from all agencies Fund Development Assist with supporting SoBro's Development Division to identify and secure new funding and assist in proposal research and development Knowledge and skills Knowledge of the New York City public school system and policies and DYCD, OCFS, and/or NYSED contracting standards Knowledge of NYSOCFS part 414 regulations (SACC) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to plan, organize, lead, and guide complex projects Ability to perform effectively as a member of a team with minimal supervision Ability to work with youth, families, and community members from strength-based service model Ability to be self-motivated and organized when handling a multitude of tasks simultaneously High level of organization and excellent time management skill Knowledge of performance management database systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, along with other software applications Experience with program evaluations Must be dependable, honest, and trustworthy Employs culturally competent and culturally responsive practices COVID-19 On-Site Safety Regulations: All staff must fully comply with SoBro's COVID-19 Employee Safety Policy adopted by the SoBro Board of Directors in October of 2020 Abide COVID-19 school model and regulations and program schedule based on regulations Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or relevant field Ability to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as required A minimum of 5 years of leadership and management experience in a youth development organization Knowledge of NYC DOH/OCFS Part 414 regulations, DOE's Chancellor's Regulations and Common Core Standards Must have State Central Review (SCR) and Criminal Background clearance prior to employment, as well as maintaining background clearance throughout employment Must have Medical Clearance within two weeks of employment Must have Valid Driver's
