Job Description:
This position specifically supports the Markets Global Fraud
Risk Management Office and will support the strategic direction and
build out of the fraud risk control framework. The Global Fraud
Risk Management Office is a relatively new team looking to expand
its scope by adding a VP who will support various aspects of the
fraud risk management framework. The team supports the Global
Markets business' such as Equities, Commodities, FX, Rates and
Spread Products. The team works closely with fraud risk officers
across the bank as well as second line functions such as risk and
operational risk management. The team is looking for a strong
candidate who has the ability to drive change by working
effectively across a global organization R esponsibilities:
- Tracking, analyzing and providing guidance to the business when
completing Fraud Impact Assessments which are required for new
initiatives and new products
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities required to execute
on the Markets Fraud Risk Management Program; overall ensure
Markets adherence globally to the Fraud Fisk Management Policy
Framework established by ORM.
- Assist in the execution of the Fraud Risk management Office
Playbook if/when needed
- Work on policies, procedures, reporting, governance, related to
Markets' implementation and enhancements the Fraud Fisk Management
Policy Framework
- Assist with tracking and working with stakeholders (i.e.,
senior management, regional leads, Markets O&T, etc.) to
resolve all internal fraud events, work with stakeholders to
conduct a read across or lessons learned (where appropriate and/or
required), and develop tangible take-aways/remedial actions
required by Markets
- Assist with tracking external fraud risk events related to
Market's business and where applicable assist with conducting a
read across or lessons learned, where appropriate and/or
required
- Identify and work with stakeholders who are responsible for
implementing, maintaining, and reporting on the operation of
systems and controls to prevent and detect fraud as it relates to
Market
- Work with key stakeholders to appropriately respond to fraud,
suspected fraud, or allegations of fraud within Markets
- Stays abreast of market trends and emerging fraud risks
pertinent to Markets
- Assist with remediation of corrective actions in response to
issues identified by management, risk, or internal audit
- Proactively seek ways to improve and support the Market's Fraud
Risk Management Program
- Maintains alignment to Industry Standards and Regulatory
expectations where applicable
- Assist in the drafting of presentations and management updates
for delivery at the appropriate senior governance forums
- Support audits, examinations, and corrective action plans, as
needed
- Act as a fraud risk subject matter expert and advisor to key
stakeholders and team globally
- Communicate with all levels of stakeholders to implement and
execute on a globally consistent fraud risk framework
- Additional duties and projects as assigned Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters
preferred, CFE certification a plus
- 6-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls
within in the financial services industry, preferably at a broker
dealer
- Strong knowledge of how to strategically develop, maintain a
risk and control framework within Citi or a peer global
institution
- Solid understanding of Markets
- Experience in Internal Audit, Financial Control and/or
Internal/External Fraud Risk Management would be desirable.
- MS Excel, Tableau, Risk and Control Repository systems
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be
articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to
provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders
- Effective organizational influencing skills and the ability to
affect people positively
- Excellent problem solving skills; ability to see the big
pictures with high attention to critical details
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and
