The Wealth Management Strategic Services (WMSS) group within MSWM is responsible for transformational platform strategies that provide better tools for our Financial Advisors, support staff, and our clients. The Service Strategy and Solutions (SSS) Team identifies strategic opportunities by assessing the operating model and technology platforms which support existing processes within Wealth Management in order to improve efficiency and client service. The Team will drive the execution strategy of various business initiatives by developing solutions to complex problems, driving technology changes, and liaising with Senior Leadership.

The candidate will work within the team to lead the execution of key strategic initiatives which are focused on driving efficiency across MSWM, by identifying and assessing new opportunities, developing and overseeing project plans, executing technology changes through the Agile framework, and liaising with stakeholders to solve complex problems. The position will interact with the Senior Leadership of MSWM and functional leads across the firm. The role requires an individual with strong analytical, project management, communication, and problem-solving skills who is capable of multitasking and collaborating with various business partners and lead other members of the team.

Primary Responsibilities

* Drive business initiatives within a small focused team environment by developing both strategic and tactical solutions to complex business problems including but not limited to client onboarding and enhanced due diligence processes.
* Perform business analysis, create detailed requirements (use-cases, user stories, or any other artifacts) and provide subject matter expertise to deliver enhanced and streamlined process and technology solutions to our field services teams, business units and stakeholders
* Host cross-team program update forums and ensure project updates are delivered in a concise and timely manner.
* Oversee project management responsibilities including conceptualizing project timelines and reporting of key milestones.
* Assist and lead a team in the proposal, design, and implementation of new centralized functions
* Work with stakeholders to prioritize work and drive milestones to timely execution
* Influence and collaborate effectively with project resources not in the same reporting line to achieve common goals
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or other related field
* A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the financial services industry and/or Wealth Management or Product Management
* Knowledge of Software development life cycle (SLDC) and understanding of Product Management software such as JIRA
* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Fundamental understanding of the financial services industry and wealth management business
* Understanding of client onboarding, account opening and maintenance and enhanced due diligence processes, policies and procedures a plus
* Ability to create process flows and develop strategic business plans / requirements
* Strong project management, organization, communication, and analytical skills
* Must be able to effectively communicate in both business and technical contexts including managing relationships with other teams and influence others
* Excellent analytical, process-oriented, problem-solving and issue-resolution skills
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability
* Ability to operate independently and also lead a team to solve complex problems under strict deadlines
