SCHEDULE: Full Time / Hybrid

Today our agency continues to address the emotional and physical needs of children and families in Brooklyn, Queens and across Long Island through innovative treatments and life-changing interventions. We provide community-based prevention and family foster care services, group homes in the community for struggling children and families within the child welfare and juvenile justice systems, and short-term residential services for unaccompanied migrant children. Each year, MercyFirst serves more than 3,000 children, teenagers and families overcome enormous obstacles, re-imagine their futures, and develop their full potential.


The Accounting Manager for Revenue, Contacts & Receivables is responsible for managing the daily activities and the staff of the revenue accounting department.


Supervise the daily functions of the Revenue Contracts & Receivable Management department.


--- Responsible for accuracy, timeliness and completeness of monthly revenue recognition, billing, and payment application.

--- Review charges, credit memos and journal entries created by staff.

--- Ensure timely collection of accounts receivable working closely with staff throughout agency and funding sources.

--- Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and funding source requirements.

--- Responsible for frequent reporting of Accounts Receivable aging.

--- Assists with month-end close and preparation of monthly reporting package.

--- Prepare monthly reconciliation and analysis for assigned balance sheet and revenue accounts. Investigates and resolves any reconciling items.

--- Review of revenue including researching and analyzing data to report on variances between budget to actual.

--- Effectively train and supervise assigned staff.

--- Provides support and/ or lead, and assist with ad hoc requests including, but not limited to, audits and special projects.

--- Assist with preparation of cost reports including SSOP, CFR etc.

--- Other duties as assigned.

--- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and funding sources to maximize revenue and collections.

--- Communicates and collaborates effectively, professionally, and clearly so that content, expectations, and timeliness are understood.

--- Enthusiasm to manage, mentor and train staff assigned to the Revenue Contracts & Receivable Management Department

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $95,000 per year

Hiring Incentive-$1,500 after 500 worked hours.
