The Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and the Albert

Chief of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine to
support all clinical, educational, scholarly, and administrative
activities of the division. Successful candidates for this position
must demonstrate the ability to lead a diverse group, work with the
hospital and academic department partners using a collaborative
approach, mentor junior faculty and have business skills, including

multidisciplinary team that includes critical care nurses,
occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, physical
therapists, nutritionists, social workers, child life specialists,
and pharmacists provide 24/7 in house coverage for the CHAM PCCU,
as well as participate in the pediatric transport program and the
sedation service. The PCCU is one of the largest in the region and
serves our busy Pediatric Emergency Department and a full
complement of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty services.
The PCCU is a referral unit for hospitals in the Bronx, Manhattan,
Westchester, and the Hudson Valley. The unit offers highly
specialized services such as mechanical cardiac support, including
Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS), Ventricular Assist Devices
(VAD) and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), complex modes of
mechanical ventilation, solid organ transplantations (heart, liver,

1,200 patients from all over the world come to CHAM's PCCU for care
each year.
The PCCU also houses a section for Cardiovascular Intensive Care
(CVICU), which delivers highly specialized services to patients
with complex congenital heart diseases after open-heart surgery or
admitted with a critical illness that compromises their cardiac
physiology. Our CVICU also provides care to patients'
