Job Description:

A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) for a promising Urgent Care position at one of their medical practices in the Bronx or Brooklyn.Responsibilities:The Urgent Care PA will:

• Obtain and document patient history
• Conduct relevant physical exam and evaluate patient, documenting pertinent positive and negative findings
• Diagnose and treat disease and manage chronic illness
• Prescribe medication accordingly
• Order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and special examinations / tests and interpret results
• Provide preventative health services, including health education and counseling
• Collaborate with other Clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients
• Handle other duties, as neededQualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in an Emergency Room and/or Urgent Care setting
  • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Able to multitask efficiently and effectively
