Job Description:

A healthcare facility located in the Bronx is actively seeking a compassionate and patient-oriented Transgender Care Physician to join their growing staff. In this role, the Transgender Care Physician will be responsible for providing care in a sensitive and non-judgmental manner, particularly to patients with HIV.ResponsibilitiesThe Transgender Care Physician will be responsible for:

• Screening, diagnoses, and treatment of patients
• Making appropriate internal and external referrals
• Documenting care promptly and following charting protocols
• Ensuring appropriate follow-up for all aspects of ordered care Qualifications
  • New York State Certification/Licensure according to degree
  • Current New York State Registration
  • DEA Controlled Substances Registration Certificate
  • CPR Certification
  • Board certification or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Infectious Disease for MDs/DOs
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Commitment to community-based primary care
  • Ability to work within a team-based structure in a pod modelDesired skills
    • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
