Job Description

The medical assistant performs a variety of clinical/clerical duties and tasks under the supervisor of the professional and registered nurse to provide effective patient care.

Requirements

Candidate must have:

Acute Care Experience (hospital)
Emergency Department Preferred
Ability to work weekends is a must
Direct patient care is essential.
Ability to multi task.
HS Diploma or Equivalence.
Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program.
1 year of previous experience in an acute care medical setting or 2 years of relevant work experience.
Bilingual English/ Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of computer technology including but not limited to patient registration systems preferred.
