Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/23/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • MS Neuro Unit specializing in neurological patient care • Provide care to neuro patient population including stroke, seizure, dementia, brain tumor, acute change in mental status, and ambulatory dysfunction patients • Patient ratios: 1:5 during day shifts, 1:6 during night shifts (RN only) or 1:8 (RN LPN) • Weekend requirement: every other weekend required • 2 years of experience required • Must be stroke certified • NIHSS certification required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • PA license or compact license required at time of submission • Experience with Epic charting system required • Must be competent in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and various respiratory support equipment • 12 hours of orientation provided • First-time travelers accepted • 35-bed unit with comprehensive stroke center capabilities • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only) Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive stroke center specializing in adult neurological care. The 35-bed medical surgical telemetry unit focuses on treating patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, neuromuscular conditions, seizures, brain and spinal cord tumors, subdural hematomas, headaches, post-operative complex spine cases, and epidural abscesses. The facility provides extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
