Medical Center is looking for a Biomedical Engineer. Job Duties
Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment such
as patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, defibrillators,
imaging devices, and laboratory instruments. Perform preventive
maintenance (PM) and electrical safety testing on biomedical
equipment. Calibrate medical devices to ensure accurate readings
and performance. Maintain detailed service records, maintenance
logs, and equipment inventory. Assist clinical staff with equipment
setup, usage, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with
regulatory standards from organizations such as the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), The Joint Commission, and Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA). Coordinate equipment repairs with
vendors and manufacturers when necessary. Participate in new
equipment evaluations, acceptance testing, and installation. Train
healthcare personnel on proper operation and safety procedures for
biomedical equipment. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree
(Bachelorette Preferred) in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or
a related technical field. Strong knowledge of electronics,
mechanical systems, and computer-based medical devices. Ability to
read schematics, service manuals, and technical diagrams.
Familiarity with hospital safety standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications Certification such as Certified Biomedical
Equipment Technician (CBET) from the Association for the
Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI). Previous experience
servicing medical equipment in hospitals or clinical environments.
Knowledge of networked medical devices and healthcare IT systems.

Biomedical Engineers typically work in hospitals, clinics, or
medical laboratories and may occasionally respond to urgent repair
requests during clinical operations. Salary commensurate with
experience within posted range $70,000 - $80,000 We provide a
