@bmctotalcare.com. Job Description The Clinical Nurse Manager is a
Registered Professional Nurse who has clinical responsibility for
the management of the Pre Operative, Operating Room, Recovery Room
and GI Endoscopy areas in which nursing care is directly and/or
indirectly provided. He/she shall be responsible for the direction,
provision, and quality of Nursing Services provided to the patient
in these areas. Responsibilities include clinical, financial, and
administrative management, oversight, and support of business
objectives including SMG’s mission, vision, and values. This
position will have the expertise to act effectively and will be
able to support leadership in personnel and related matters,
ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Essential
Job Functions o Responsible and accountability for all aspects of
the clinical operations in all perioperative areas. o Responsible
for direct management of all day-to-day clinical operations of all
peri operative departments including oversight of personnel o Works
collaboratively with the site Administrative Director in the
delivery of care and service to the patients of the ASC. o Maintain
awareness of professional issues at the local, state, and national
levels that impact the delivery of patient care. o Implementation
and/or revision of ASC policies to improve quality and ensure
compliance with regulatory agencies and accreditation bodies
(AAAHC, OSHA, DOH, APIC, NHSH, AORN). o Participates and
contributes in the Quality Improvement Committee and the Infection
Prevention Committee and maintain meeting minutes o Adheres to
state reporting guidelines and actively participates in root cause
analysis and process improvement initiatives. o Assumes coverage of
unit in the absence of the Director of Nursing o Ensures all
assigned nursing staff have annual performance evaluations
utilizing information from appropriate sources o Consoles
appropriately as necessary, handles disciplinary action, reports,
and recommends discharge when indicated o Performs payroll for
employees and manages paid time off requests. Communication: o
Meets on a regular basis with the Director of Nursing for the ASC
to review and revise goals o Ensures appropriate and timely ongoing
communication to the Administrative Director o conducts monthly
staff meetings in conjunction with the Administrative Director and
maintains open channels of communication with staff o Responsible
for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations o
Identifies staffing needs in advance, assists in utilizing
resources effectively o Communicate with staff, offices, sales reps
and physicians of daily schedule and equipment changes and supply
needs o Monitors surgical schedule to input of equipment,
instrument and supply needs or changes Staff Development: o
Facilitates the orientation and onboarding of all clinical staff o
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervising, and development
of all levels of staff in conjunction with the Administrative
Director and the Director of Nursing o Evaluating and developing
staff through coaching, training, ongoing feedback, performance
reviews, dissemination of relevant information while responding to
issues quickly or escalating as appropriate to Director of Nursing;
respects confidentiality at all levels. Financial Management: o
Demonstrates knowledge of budgeting and control by preparing,
monitoring, and reviewing budgets periodically to ensure cost
containment, continually reviews staffing times, punches, swipes,
and overtime, to reduce overtime. o Works collaboratively with
Administrative Director and Procurement Dept. to review case costs
o Works collaboratively across the organization to Identify cost
reduction General Job functions: o Oversees daily operations o
Staffing schedule of preoperative, operating room, recovery room
and GI area o Overseeing and participation of quality assurance and
performance improvement program o Overseeing and participation
infection prevention program o Updates quality and infection
prevention dashboards o Maintenance and knowledge of all equipment
in OR and GI area o Maintenance and updating of policies and
procedures o Physician and employee liaison o Overseeing the
ordering of all medications and supplies o In service instructions
on procedures or new equipment o Fire and safety training o
Maintains employee records Physical Job Requirements: o Physical
mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job,
taking distance and speed into account. o Physical agility, which
includes ability to maneuver body while in place. o Dexterity of
hands and fingers. o Endurance (e.g. continuous typing, prolonged
standing/bending, walking). Environmental Risks: o Allergens: dust,
mold and/or pollen Education, Certification, Computer and Training
Requirements: o Bachelor’s Degree Required o 2-4 years OR
Managerial experience required, 8 preferred o New Jersey State
Registered Nurse License required o Basic Life Support (BLS) o
Valid Driver’s license and Auto Insurance o Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS/PALS) o Experience working directly with physicians o
AORN Certification preferred o Ability to communicate in English,
both orally and in writing o Strong interpersonal, communication,
and organizational skills o Ability to lead and manage a department
(team), required with high level of customer service and patient
care navigation and care management in mind o Ability to perform
diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree
of accuracy o Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and
priority setting skills o Knowledge of current nursing practices
and protocols o Ability to lead and manage a team Travel: o 10%
travel between Summit Medical Group locations INDNurse Position
pays up to $140,900 based on years of experience. &xa;Pay
Range: $93,900.00 - $117,400.00 Annual&xa;&xa; The provided
compensation range is based on industry standards and salary
determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but
not limited to years of experience and location of position. About
