Job Description:
Our Challenge
As a Senior Java Developer/Lead, you will work on developing secure
and scalable software solutions based upon technical and design
requirements that will help support the business. Collaboration
will be a key focus area as you partner with other team members in
the development of various components and perform production
incident management. While not required, experience with financial
system encryption formats will be beneficial to this role.
Additional Information - New York-Based Roles*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and
other factors.
In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if
filled within New York is $130k -$135k/year & benefits (see
below).
Responsibilities
Develop high quality, secure, scalable software solutions based on
technical requirement specifications and design artifacts within
the expected time and budget
Assist team members in the development of applications, components,
system-to-system interfaces and complete software solutions
Work with the project team to meet scheduled due dates while
identifying emerging issues, recommending solutions for problems,
independently performing assigned tasks, and performing production
incident management
Create documentation such as user guides and software development
guides for moderately complex projects
Actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve
process efficiency
Requirements
You are:
Experienced in Engineering, preferably in high volume, low latency
transaction processing systems (such as payments transaction
switching, high frequency trading systems or global real-time event
streaming systems, etc.)
Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation via Jenkins
Able to deliver scalable products through a CI/CD pipeline
deploying on-prem or in a public cloud infrastructure
Able to ensure quality across the full stack via rigorous CI/CD
practices in all aspects of the SDLC (Builds, Test, and Deploy)
Experienced in event driven systems (Apache Kafka, NATS, etc.)
Experienced with testing frameworks and methodologies (Gtest,
JUnit, mocking, etc.)
Experienced in building platforms with Microservice architecture
and RESTful APIs
Experienced with various transport protocols (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI,
etc.)
Experienced using cloud-native approaches running on Linux and
leveraging Spring Boot
Experienced with virtualization like Cloud Foundry (PCF),
Kubernetes (PKS), Docker, etc.
Experienced with deployment via CI/CD
Experienced with various coding languages, including Java, Go, C++,
ESQL, etc.
Knowledgeable in Payment and Financial transaction industry
standard formats such as ISO8583, ISO20022 and corresponding
modelling and markup language formats
A strong written and verbal communicator
It would be great if you also had:
Experience in financial system encryption (PIN Blocks, CHIP,
CVC)
