The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Weill Cornell Medical College. Responsibilities: Per diem opportunity availableResponsibilities include but not limited to:

• First Assisting in the operating room
• Making daily rounds and writing progress notes
• Evaluating new patients as well as post-operative and routine follow up patients in clinic
• Perform admission history and physical examinations
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostics test and labs
• Developing a treatment plan for neurosurgical conditions within the scope of practice and in conjunction with neurosurgeon
• Pre and post-operative care
• Responding to consults both emergent and non-emergent
• Prescribing medications and other therapies
• Counseling patients and families regarding careQualifications:
• Physician Assistant certification/license
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant education program
• Current NYS registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current Certification issued by the NCCPA
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently Qualifications: Qualifications:
