Job Description:
Assessor, City of New RochelleThe City of New Rochelle, NY is
seeking an experienced and qualified individual for a full-time
position with the City as its Assessor. The position reports
directly to the Finance Commissioner and is appointed by the City
Manager.The successful candidate will have the minimum
qualification standards established by the New York State Office of
Real Property Services, including required certification by the New
York State Board as a candidate for Assessor appointment and a
minimum of five (5) years full-time paid experience in an
occupation involving the valuation of real property.
Responsibilities include supervision of assessor department staff,
inspection of new construction, track and maintain property tax
exemptions, manage all grievance hearings and small claims
assessment reviews, and report filing. Familiarity with New York
State's assessment software (RPS) is preferred.A competitive salary
($101,200 TO $166,467) and benefits package will be paid
