Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Enrollment
Services, along with the Senior Assistant Director of Enrollment
Services, the Counselor will assist with the daily operations of
the Enrollment Services Offices to support the Campus Operations
ensuring the professional, efficient and compliant processing of
student records. The Counselor of Enrollment Services will assist
in the processing of registrations, resulting billing processes,
and counseling of students and families. The Counselor will also
serve as a primary member of the Enrollment Services division,
ensuring student centered service in meeting the needs of
traditional, non-traditional, adult and minority student
Mercy College's service philosophy is to enrich lives and

receive responses in a timely manner, provide accurate information,
communicate positively and courteously (oral/written), and maximize
resources to service the needs of the college community.
Experience and/or Skills Required
1. Ability to travel between campuses is required, along with
2. Must have experience in Banner, and be proficient with the
internet, Microsoft Office Suite, and multiple Department of
Education software products.
3. Broad knowledge of financial aid specific and related
regulations (federal and state) required.
4. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral
communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation
5. Demonstrated evidence of detail-orientation, customer service
orientation, ability to work independently, ability to manage great
levels of responsibility required.
6. Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
7. Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings
8. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background
check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver

Education Required or Min Education Required
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum
of two to three years experience of higher education related
