Sodexo is currently seeking a Chef Manager to join a Corporate Services account located in Bronx, New York.. This is a hands on Chef Manager in charge of cooking, ordering, HR, menu development, and all financials. At this account we feed 20 retired priests out of a dining room. There is no catering and will be restaurant style. This Chef Manager will directly supervise 6 Sodexo frontline(hourly) non-union employees and report directly into a District Manager. This site cooks 3 meals a day 7 days a week for the brothers that live onsite. 


We are looking for candidates who will:

  • manage the daily food production including production planning and control
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality
  • manage food costing, controls and compliance
  • develop menus and manage inventory
  • have high expectations for customer service and quality of food
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and train frontline employees
  • have a passion for food and innovation


This Chef Manager will work Tuesday through Saturday- Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday is 6am-2pm then on Friday and Saturday the shift is 9am-7pm.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables.  May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
