Job Description:
1. Engage clients from the community using trauma-informed
lenses, that are referred for outpatientSUD care to VIP's SUD
programs2. The CASAC will utilize evidence-based therapies to
provide counseling to clients3. Provide clinical counseling
services to clients referred from the community including initial
assessment,treatment plan and discharge planning in accordance with
the departmental procedure and regulatoryrequirements4. Participate
in comprehensive interdisciplinary team treatment planning and
activities as indicated5. Support clients taking MAT with adherence
education6. Manage telephone inquiries and provide program
information, including information on alternativeproviders7.
Maintain to date database of referral information and resources8.
Refer applicants to alternative services (e.g. Detoxification
Units, Rehab Programs, etc.) as needed9. Perform all required
documentation and data entry for assigned clients10. Maintain good
working relationships with all staff, clients, and community
members11. Serve as the liaison on the Prevention and Harm
Reduction Advisory Council12. Perform all other duties as assigned
by the DirectorBachelor's degreeCertified Alcoholism and Substance
Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification3 years of working experience
in a trauma-informed, diverse culture that upholds social justice
and equityExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to
read, write and speak the English languageKnowledge of computer
programsExcellent organizational skillsBilingual Spanish
