LICENSURE, AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree in
Therapeutic Recreation or in Recreation, with emphasis in
Therapeutic Recreation; certification by the National Therapeutic
Recreation Society and a valid NYS Driver's License with a
satisfactory driving record.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Prior experience
in providing recreation therapy services for adolescent females in
a residential setting.Brief outline of essential tasks under the
Supervision of the Recreation Coordinator: Plan, arrange and
conduct therapeutic recreational activities that are age
appropriate and developmentally appropriate taking into account
abilities, interests, past experiences, etc. to meet their needs
appropriately.Participate as a member of the treatment team.Follow
all safety regulations and requirements while supervising
residents.Demonstrate knowledge of human development stages.Report
behaviors believed to be symptomatic or emotional, physical or
psychological disturbances.Document clients' behaviors and
activities.Maintain appropriate boundaries. Are you organized? Do
