The IT Specialist performs all responsibilities related to this critical support service. This position reports to the IT Support Manager.The schedule for this position is 9 AM- 5 PM from Monday- Friday. This position works primarily out of our Bronx office location. The schedule is subject to change.Requirements:ResponsibilitiesMaintain office technology systems by keeping all workstations and programs operational. Logs and tracks all technology problems brought up by users on Zendesk. Provides prompt communication and resolution of all hardware and software-related problems. Troubleshoots or determines the cause of problems and solves them.Configure endpoint computers to connect to the LAN/WANCreate and maintains network credentials and profiles for all employees.Install new applications and provide instruction and support to staff on using updated software to enhance organizational efficiency.Provide other general training and one-on-one support to employees to assist them in improving their computer knowledge and skill efficiency.Communicate and coordinates network maintenance schedules and downtime to users.Liaise between outside application vendors and users relating to application configuration, setup, and support.Liaise with outside consultants and hardware and software vendors to assist in negotiation for service or product contracts.Prepare and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.Maintain company inventory of all computer equipment in Kaseya.Ensure policies and procedures are followed for all mobile devices and computer equipment.Assist with various low-voltage cabling and technology-related construction tasks.Ability to travel locally using company vehicles. Must have a driver's license with a good driving record.Must be able to obtain NYC prisons/jails clearance for entry.Performs other duties as requested.RequirementsEducationHigh school diploma required, formal or independent technology training preferred.ExperienceTwo years or more customer service experience and supporting windows desktop environment.Experience in LAN/WAN environment.Related Skills or KnowledgeGood organizational skills.Efficiency in attention to detail.Strong computer skills.Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
