As a part of the Optum tri-state, we are seeking a -Medical
Receptionist -to join our growing team in New York. At Optum, we

Location: 575 Underhill Boulevard, Suite 190, Syosset, NY 11791
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
Welcomes patients and visitors with a smile and friendly tone
Checks patients in and out of the clinic
Verifies patient identity and insurance. Takes copayments and any
outstanding -balances through the organization -in accordance with
patients' insurance plans
Schedules patient appointments and maintains the schedule as
adjustments are required
Answers phones promptly and professionally. Transfers calls or
takes messages appropriately
Displays complete understanding of patient check-in forms and
clearly describes information to patients and visitors as
needed
Generates referrals in accordance with provider directions and
office guidelines
Queues prescriptions for physician approval
Scanning of all documents into EMR
Reply to patient questions from patient portal
Performs other duties as required

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
Intermediate level of proficiency in general computer use and
Microsoft Office
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this

Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of customer service experience
1+ years of EMR experience

New York Residents Only: - The salary range for New York -residents
is -$16.00 to $27.31. Pay is based on several factors including but
not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In
