Do you want to make an impactful difference by providing affordable housing to those that need it most?The Janitor/Porter will be working directly under the Maintenance Supervisor at 4002-4016 and 4128-4140 Carpenter Ave totaling 207 units community located in Bronx, NY.As a Porter at Related Management Company (RMC), your work is essential to a clean, safe, and beautiful property. You'll perform upkeep and janitorial duties so that your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds. In this role, you'll also have the opportunity to learn new skills, working closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities. We are a passionate team making real impact on the world!* Grow with us - learning & training programs; tuition & certification reimbursement; internal advancement opportunities are available.* and so much more!WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS A PORTER* Perform upkeep and janitorial duties so that your property is always in great condition, demonstrating pride in your building and grounds.* Sort recycling and prepare trash for pick up.* Learn new skills and work closely with the maintenance team on small repairs and preventative activities.* Engage in minor maintenance work in coordination with building maintenance team.* Assist in preparation of vacant units with maintenance team.* Provide excellent customer service to residents while performing job duties.* Inspect property and equipment regularly to ensure proper functionality.* Perform snow removal and/or landscaping as needed.* Maintain building supplies and inventory in proper condition.* Communicate with management to address safety concerns as needed.* Support site and office operations as assigned by manager.COMPESATION:* $18.00- $21.00 an hour* with an annual bonus that is tied to performanceQualificationsWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR* You have at least 1 year experience as a building porter, cleaner, or groundskeeper* You're able to work our emergency on-call rotation as needed and can lift up to 50 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.* You are committed to exceed expectations of those around you by providing exceptional service* You bring determination each day - embracing constructive criticism and pushing to get better* You believe in teamwork - that we are better, together* You are trustworthy and reliable to do the right thing - no matter what* You welcome everyone and know the best ideas are born through diversity of thought and perspectiveA BIT ABOUT USWe call ourselves Related Management Company (RMC) and believe in enriching lives through affordable housing.
