Job Description:

Our client is an international audiovisual and technology professional services company that design, builds and supports innovative technology solutions to create lasting experiences where people live, work and play.

They're looking for passionate, dedicated game changers to join their team and have immediate openings for a Tier AV Service Technician at the following locations: Houston, Las Vegas, New Orleans & Wichita.

You should have experience installing, and maintaining pro audio, video walls, digital signage, projectors, video controls and video conferencing equipment.

Responsible for the safe and correct diagnosis of faults, removal, repair, test, implementation and operation of all aspects of audio visual, video conference, display and presentation technologies.

This role requires a detail minded, technically skilled individual with strong customer service and problem-solving skills; able to multi-task and think quickly on your feet in a fast-paced environment. You need to be able to follow procedures and checklists but have the confidence to improvise when and where needed.

Day to day responsibilities include:

On-site response to service requests originating from the Company's Global Service Desk and/or customer ticketing systems. This may also originate from daily worksheets, team interaction, telephone calls, emails, etc.

Respond to customer queries and faults in a fast-paced team environment.

Able to quickly assess support requirements and to deliver timely client support in advance of meetings.

Convey clear technical information, resolutions & requirements to the client to provide a seamless customer support experience.

Improve and grow the relationships with customers by managing and delivering their support requirements, assisting with their technology and user experience questions.

Actively collaborate with internal teams across the client and the business to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and superb product and service quality.

Create, update, and maintain service cases in service platforms.

Ensure service interactions comply within defined contractual KPls and SLAs.

Provide excellent customer service and communication.

Complete all internal processes in an accurate and timely manner to avoid any disruptions to client satisfaction

Requirements for Tier 1:

Able to identify and describe typical systems, their components, cables and terminations used in AV systems

AV System knowledge gained in a service or operational environment

Experience operating, troubleshooting and supporting live events and presentations

Ability to navigate system project files in an effort to provide and request additional support

Experience with AV systems, common test equipment, and commissioning requirements

Basic understanding of network architecture

Understanding of control system software

Understanding of DSP and related software

Understanding of media servers and content streaming

Understanding of typical digital signage systems and associated networks

Knowledge of Health and Safety rules and workplace safety

AVIXA Technologist Certification or ability to complete it within 6 months of hire date


The primary work location is at a customer site,

Secondary work locations additional nearby customers office with occasional work remotely (from home).


The employee must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 75 pounds. Specific vision acuity requirements include close vision, depth perception, and color recognition. This person will frequently be required to be on step ladders up to 12' and extension ladders to 26'. Occasional use of a man-lift up to 40' will also be required.

Travel: Up to 10%


40 hours per week which may include Saturday or Sunday or both. Ultimate schedule will be determined by our client. Some flexibility including occasional overtime may be required.

Typical hours will fall between the window of 7:00am & 7:00pm

Late shift is a possible requirement, must be flexible to work rotating shifts.

Additional hours including weekends as required on an overtime basis, if over 40 hours.
