Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Behavioral
Specialist provides behavioral support services to individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance with
Pennsylvania ODP Chapter 6400 regulations. This role focuses on
assessing behavioral needs, developing and monitoring behavior
support plans, training staff, and ensuring strategies are
implemented safely, consistently, and in compliance with ISP and
regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct behavioral assessments and functional behavior assessments
(FBA) as needed. Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support
Plans (BSP) in coordination with the individual's ISP team. Provide
training and coaching to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on
behavioral strategies and de-escalation techniques. Monitor the
effectiveness of behavior interventions and recommend modifications
as necessary. Review incident reports and provide guidance on
prevention strategies and corrective actions. Participate in ISP
meetings, team meetings, and interdisciplinary planning. Ensure
behavioral supports are delivered in a trauma-informed,
person-centered, and least restrictive manner. Maintain accurate
documentation in compliance with ODP, HCSIS, and agency policies.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, support coordinators, and
other providers as needed. Ensure compliance with 6400 regulations
regarding restrictive procedures and positive behavior supports.
Qualifications Master's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior
Analysis, Social Work, Counseling, or related field (preferred).
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities. Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis
(ABA) and positive behavior support strategies. Familiarity with PA
ODP Chapter 6400 regulations and waiver services preferred. Strong
communication, training, and documentation skills. Required
